Before the guest arrives
Check the assigned boat, pickup time, return time and party size. Confirm the booking has the correct extras and that shared equipment is available. Review the reservation balance and agreement status. Move unresolved items into a visible staff queue so they do not become surprises at the dock.
Before departure
Match the guest to the reservation and follow your operator-approved identity, eligibility and safety procedures. Review the boat’s condition with the renter and record required inspection details. Confirm the return location, due time and contact method for problems on the water. This operational checklist supplements your own safety policies and staff training.
While the boat is out
Keep the active rental and expected return visible to the team. Record changes in the reservation workflow rather than leaving them only in a private text. If the return time affects the next pickup, review the availability conflict before making a promise to another guest.
At return
Record the return, condition notes and any inspection items required by your operation. Assign damage or maintenance concerns to the responsible person. Confirm fuel and cleaning readiness before the next handoff. Keep payment adjustments within your reviewed payment process and retain a clear record of what happened.
How Cove Booking organizes the sequence
Cove Booking connects booking details, agreement status, balances, departure checks and return records. Inspection requirements can be configured by boat. Ask for a walkthrough using one of your real rental types, then have a staff member repeat it. Automated damage-card holds are not currently supported, so agree on that process separately.
