Guest booking fee; request terms
FareHarbor’s boat rental page describes no monthly software fee and a booking charge added at guest checkout. It directs operators to its team for pricing.
Provider sources are linked below. This comparison is written by Cove Booking; it is not an independent review.
Compare the final checkout
Take one of your normal rentals and record the guest’s complete total in each proposal. Separate rental price, taxes, extras, software fees and processing. Cove Booking charges the operator $400/month for software with no Cove Booking percentage booking fee. Processor charges remain separate.
Do not count guest fees as your savings
If a guest pays another provider’s booking fee, removing that fee does not automatically increase your profit by the same amount. It changes the guest’s total. Any effect on conversion needs measurement; it should not be presented as guaranteed revenue.
Ask what brings bookings in
If agents, affiliates or marketplaces supply meaningful business, inventory those channels before switching. Ask each provider to demonstrate the exact connections you need and explain the additional terms. Cove Booking should be evaluated for its direct booking and dock workflows; do not assume an equivalent distribution network.
Choose for the rental day
Have the office and dock crew use the same sample reservation. Can they see the balance, signed agreement, pickup time and return status? Request a Cove Booking walkthrough if a fixed software bill and connected rental records address the work slowing your team down.
